Current Openings:

Boatyard Technician (Full Time)

Position Description: Assists in the lifting and positioning of vessels in our hard packed marl yard. Paints bottoms, installs anodes, pressure washes boat bottoms and assists with any other department as necessary. Disposes of hazardous waste and maintains overall yard cleanliness. Limited maintenance of travellift, physical plant and washdown areas are expected.

Qualifications: No experience necessary. MUST have some knowledge of and interest in boats. A positive and professional attitude is essential as well as the ability to work well within a team and follow direction from leadership.

Marine Paint and Fiberglass Technician (Full Time)

Position Description: The Paint and Fiberglass Technician is a hands on position on the shop floor, yard and docks. Perform quality work to ABYC standards in all facets of paint and fiberglass for vessels and projects of all types and sizes, including but not limited to repair work, new construction, spray application, rolling application, sealant application, gelcoat repair, filling and faring, and mechanical painting. Limited maintenance of departmental tools, physical plant, and facility expected. Effective and fluid interfacing with the other departmental teams is essential.

Qualifications: The candidate must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working with Paint and Fiberglass in the maritime industry. Must be able to work as a member of the technician and craftsman team to maximize efficiency and maintain a high level of excellence.

Position Title: Marine Mechanic and Electrical Technician (Full Time)

Position Description: Knowledge of all shipboard systems, ability to diagnose, repair, install diesel and gas engines and generators, AC and DC electrical systems, propulsion systems, steering systems, stabilizer systems, hydraulic systems, accessory vessel mechanical systems, etc. Ability to troubleshoot and provide creative solutions for difficult problems, working under ABYC standards.

Qualifications: 5-10 years of marine mechanic experience. Applicant must have extensive hands on experience and be able to work as a member of the mechanical department team.
